Excellent thanks you Ben and Jackson

Captain Ben and Jackson are skilled fishers. Ben guided his boat directly to a location and six of us caught 14 mackerel. Then we moved to another location and hooked three young sharks.  Jackson coached us on reeling in the mackerel and removing the hook. He also showed us how reel in the sharks, hold them, remove the hook and return to them to the water. Ben and Jackson are highly knowledgeable of the fish and their environment and which fish are good to enjoy as a meal and which need to be returned to their swimming territory. We were also impressed in Ben’s weather skills as we avoided thunderstorms and rain that were threatening the area. Both fishermen also engaged in conversation while we were waiting to reel in the sharks or other fish. Overall a fun and exciting morning! Everyone agreed we would charter with the Black Skimmer on a future trip.

This was a great trip for our entire family, two Grandparents, two parents, and two children (10 & 6).  The captain and first mate took us to a calm fishing spot (the weather was helpful with this), which helped our daughter who can get sea sick when not in motion on the boat.  The captain and first mate were so engaged with the kids the entire time we fished.  They educated the kids about local fish, the sport of fishing and incorporated them in everything, making our experience excellent.  We Left this trip with wonderful memories for the whole family after catching a great amount of fish. Thanks to the captain and crew of the Black Skimmer!

4 hr shark fishing trip. Capt Steve is a delightful, friendly soul. very easy to talk to, and he made my young grandsons feel welcome. The first mate Ben was very helpful to the kids. We didn’t kill the fish, but caught a Whiting, a nice Bonnet shark and a big Sting Ray. hee boys had a blast. The only downside was unlike last year on a different boat, there is no “fighting chair” which helps kids reel in the fish. Overall a great experience, I would recomend going on a chzrter with Cpt Steve and Black Skimmer
