This was an amazing fishing day. We’ve done fishing charters in Hawaii, Florida and now Costa Rica. This charter in Costa Rica has got to be one of the best. The guys on the boat were amazing and worked hard for us. We stayed busy catching fish the whole time. Towards the end the captain asked if we wanted to go snorkeling or snorkeling for lobsters. We went snorkeling for lobsters and it was awesome. The water wasn’t super clean for seeing the lobsters but it was so much fun.
I would recommend this charter for anyone wanting to have a relaxing day.

We boarded at 8:00, were catching fish by 8:30, amazing fruit plate at 9:00, beers and fresh tuna ceviche at 10:00, and snorkeling a coral reef at 11:00. This halfday experience was amazing! We highly recommend. One note - we expected to be going out with Jose, who was
double booked, so we ended up with Eduardo and Alberto. This was no problem for us as they were skilled, kind, and hospitable. We really enjoyed our time with them! We speak Spanish; their English was limited. And one more note - no toilet on the boat.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the best weather for fishing - but we still caught tuna and barracuda. The crew made a fabulous ceviche from our catch - and the resort we stayed at cooked the rest for dinner. It was delicious!  For this trip, the captain was very easy to communicate with and extremely responsive - and even picked us up from the beach by our resort.  I would recommend this company and may try again next time we are in Costa Rica (with better fishing weather)!  :-)

Our trip was great! We caught 3 tuna and 1 jackfish. The Jack was 30 pounds, the tuna were smaller. We went snorkeling as well at a local spot and saw some pufferfish and other small fish. Tour guides served us ceviche with the fresh tuna we caught and everyone on the boat loved it. We took advantage of the beer, soda and water that was provided. This was our first time fishing on a boat like this and everyone in our group had a great time.

Let’s be fair here, people who went on vacations are always more lenient in their reviews.  So let’s try to be objective:

Services:
-  Eduardo was very helpful and friendly. Albert was da man! He’s got it down about fishing and made a wicked Ceviche.  Even though Jose didn’t go on the trip, he provided constant communication on WhatsApp before and after the trip to answer questions and made sure we are satisfied. Excellent customer service!

Cons:
- We booked it for 5 hours. We only did 4.5 hours, but we didn’t feel rushed or hurried off. 
- one of the bottle water they provided in the ice chest was already opened. 🤨

Pros:
- I have been to fishing at Half Moon Bay in northern California. I told my kids who love fishing that I will not ever go fishing in the sea. I barfed like crazy.  Surprisingly, this ride is much better. I didn’t even feel a bit of sea sick.  Really enjoyed the ride. They don’t have those twin Yamaha 250 engine but only a Suzuki and frankly, it was more than enough speed to go anywhere fast. 
- Talk about full service. They set up all the poles and bait for us.  For my helicoptered kids, it was perfect, embarrassing enough, they didn’t even need to put bait on the hooks which I ended up forcing them to.  Can’t be spoon fed even fishing. 🙄 For trolling, once they caught the fish, we reel them in.  It was very hard and tiring. Great workout. For other fishing… We did it ourselves and caught quite a few.
- we caught many fishes: Dorado or Mahi mahi, Albacore tuna, Red snapper, Amberjack and we even avenged Nemo’s mom by catching a few Barracudas.  👍🏼
- They provided cold drinks. No snacks. I supposed they are very confident that you will catch some fish cause Ceviche is in order after we caught them fishes. And it was very good… I don’t even like to eat fish but I really enjoyed the Ceviche. 
-  Without sonar equipment, they were very experienced and able to catch fish everywhere we went. The trolling was not as productive but we caught 2 big fishes.
-  They provide other activities if you done with fishing… Tubing and snorkeling etc.  We did snorkeling but this is no Hawaii, I suggest tubing. 
-  The boat is not the fanciest but frankly this place has good value. We had a family of 4 for this trip. They can take 6+ persons. I think It can comfortably fits 6-8. It was very reasonably priced. The disadvantage is the business is pretty new, only one review. We took a risk but hopefully this review will give you confidence that we didn’t get rip off and had a good time. 😅

Suggestion:
-  Staff should try to teach passengers how to fish… Like how to pull, how to reel.  Enhance the fishing experience by sharing knowledge.
-  bring your own towel
-  they have a nice cover which provides shade but being sun tan lotion anyway.
-  they should install a stairs for snorkelers. Easier to get back on the boat. 

I have it a 5 stars cause it’s my first time in Costa Rica and haven’t tried others but based on my experience and evaluation, I feel the price and the experience made it a 5 stars ratings.
