We booked a 6 hour trip with High Z prior to our recent vacation to Puerto Plata. I found them based on their great reviews so I had high hopes for the day and lets just say right off the bat that Nelson and his first mate Jeffrey did NOT disappoint. Nelson is a friendly man who provided transportation from our lobby right to the docks. He has a great boat and apparently knows how to find the fish! Once we go to the “spot”, the action was non-stop. We even had a triple-header! 14 in all. Throughout the madness, Jeffrey was a machine! taking care of all the lines, the fish, the bait, everything. Top marks for the fishing AND the customer service. Relaxed, friendly yet professional vibe. All in all, safe to say that the morning spent with High Z fishing for Mahi Mahi was the highlight of our trip, worth every penny and I would do it over again in a heart beat. So much fun… Thanks for the cold Coronas on the way back to the dock, Nelson!

We booked a 4 hour trip today on the High Z’s that we extended to 6 hours. Awesome trip, fantastic crew and very nicely equipped and clean boat. We caught a bunch of Mahi Mahi & some Baracuda.

Captain Nelson took out myself, my wife, and a few friends and family of my wife on our first deep sea fishing trip.  We caught over 40 fish consisting of mahi mahi and wahoo.  We had a great time. Definitely would do it again.

We went out at 7, captain picked us up from lifestyles at 6:30. We rolled out of the marina boat was already loaded and ready to fish. We dropped lines as soon as we got out of the bay. We found a large weed line and trolled it. We caught a barracuda and Mahi. Yoel cooked it up for us and it was fantastic. Yoel was a great mate and good music. Great time great fishing
