We had a great time fishing the backwaters for tarpon. Captain Carlo was very helpful with the kids (teens) teaching then how to fight this angry fish!

We started at 3 and fished into the evening. Very relaxing for us parents and cool at night. Recommended for families if you want to actually hit some fish

Let me start of by saying that Ricardo and his first mate were the best I could ask for.  Both very polite and attentive to ours needs. We booked a half day deep fishing trip hoping to catch some Marlin and anything else would have been a bonus. We started of going for some tuna and rudderfish and boy did we succeed.  We caught 9
fish in the first hour!  Just when things were starting to get good my friend got sea sick and ended up vomiting.  Ricardo was just as concerned as I was said we would start heading back towards the shore and try to catch some Marlins. After about another hour my friend still wasn’t feeling well and Ricardo asked if we wanted to go inshore fishing which we both agreed would be a good idea.  Once inshore my friend started feeling much better and we tried our luck at some tarpon.  In the next couple of hours not only did we catch some tarpon but a beautiful Jack Crevel that put up good fight.  Ricardo even let us fish a little longer since we didn’t use up all our time deep sea fishing which was very nice of him!  Once back to shore Ricardo we asked Ricardo to prep the fish we caught to eat which he did a great job of. In conclusion even though we didn’t deep sea the entire time which was no fault of Ricardo’s we had great time and highly recommend his services!!!

This was one of the best fishing charters I’ve been on in Puerto Rico! I grew up fishing in Florida and the Florida Keys and Ricardo really knows his stuff. Ricardo has the local knowledge of the lagoons and surrounding areas and was more excited about going out and getting fish than I was, especially when we saw the tarpon rolling. The boat is brand new and extremely roomy and there was no issues with the five of us (plus Ricardo) with all the lines in the water even with two of us fighting tarpon to the boat at the same time. Some of the places Ricardo took us were so beautiful especially the spot that was over by the Spanish Fort.

I highly recommend Ricardo’s Blue Rush Charters for anyone visiting Puerto Rico and not only enjoy getting some fish with a local fisherman, but also enjoying the side of Puerto Rico not too many people get a chance to.

I had a half day inshore fishing trip earlier this morning and had a blast! From the very beginning the captain, Carlos Torres, had me on fish. Throughout the day while other charters and fisherman struggled, we continued to have action. Ending the day with a grand slam!(Tarpon, Snook, and a Jack). All around great trip and highly recommend.
