The trip was one of the “should have been here yesterday” or even should have been here this morning that nearly all of us have experienced.  High pressure system moved through mid-day and picked up the chop and killed the fishing.  The morning trips were still cleaning bunches of mahi and tuna when we arrived for the trip, but there was not a single fish at the cleaning tables when we returned :(

However, the captain and Jose fished as hard as they could have.  We tried live bait sets and chum at three spots to see if there were tuna or mahi.  Then we drove almost all the way to Cabo San Lucas to try another spot.  Nothing…  Then we put on a 5-line trolling set (2 ballyhoo) and trolled all the way back from CSL to SJDC looking for a marlin or big mahi.  Basically we tried everything one might expect and just got skunked.  The effort and efficiency were there though.

We did the 6 hour trip in the morning. Salvador and crew were great. Caught tons of fish, saw pods of dolphins, ridiculous number of whales. They hit great fishing spots and more or less we were catching fish all morning- mackerel and trigger, lots of other fish catch and release. It was a great morning and I will definitely use them again the next time I go fishing in Cabo. It is worth it to go to the other Marina.

Captain Salvador and Mate Jose put us on yellowfin tuna drifting bait immediately upon arrival to the grounds. Would highly recommend to anyone who would like to go catch fish. Salvador speaks good enough English that we were able to communicate well.
Jaime met us when we were lost and took us to park, then to the boat. After our trip he vacuum sealed and delivered our fish to us our next day.
We are a seasoned fishing family from the Pacific Northwest and this operation is top notch!

I’ve used Daliken many times and will continue to use Jaimie and his teams fleet of boats! We went out for Tuna and ended up catching 5 Yellowfin and 1 Mahi Mahi. Everyone at the spot was hooked every 15-20 minutes it was an amazing time! The crew and captain did a phenomenal job all around!
