Buddy took us out for a half day fishing trip.  Before the trip, his communications with us were efficient, responsive and accommodating.  He patiently helped us understand the options and define our goals for the trip.  Then, on the day of the trip, he delivered exactly what he promised and then some.  It was a bit slow up until the very end (due to Mother Nature and not for lack of trying multiple spots and techniques).  But Buddy did not give up even though we had only a little bit of time left (when many other Captains might say, “One more try and then we’ll head back in”).  Buddy persisted until we hooked up with our targeted fish and had an experience of a lifetime.  He then went past the allotted time as we battled the fish.  We were so appreciative of Buddy’s dedication to giving us a great experience.  On top of that, the next day, Buddy caught some extra baitfish and was kind enough to share them with us so we could continue our fishing adventures.  Buddy is quite simply one of the most dedicated, pleasant and generous Captains we’ve fished with.  Thank you, Buddy!

My wife Cindy and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to fish with Captain Buddy last Monday afternoon!  He is truly a gem!  One of the nicest, most knowledgeable, hard working, gracious and kind fishing guides, and people we have ever been around. 
Buddy had already finished taking 4 other Iowans on a very successful morning fishing trip before catching his second wind to take us in the afternoon. But no problem, he put everything into making sure we had a great time and a very successful day on the water.  Beautiful boat, great conversation and we caught a bunch of nice fish, using multiple, interesting techniques.
Buddy was especially patient and encouraging to my wife Cindy, who of course out-fished me on that day!  At the end of the day he quickly cleaned our catch and sent us on our way.  We were honestly sad to say goodbye to our new old friend.  Can’t wait to fish with you again, Captain Buddy!

We could not give a higher recommendation! We had so much fun. Buddy helped guide our kids (9 year-olds) perfectly and they loved their first saltwater fishing experience.

We caught numerous species of fish and Buddy taught us something new about every one we caught. We fished three different spots and each one was unique and equally good. The final spot was targeting sharks for my husband and me, and it was incredible. We caught a lemon and had a very upclose experience with a hammerhead! It was NatGeo caliber!

Our priority was a great experience for our kids and they can’t stop talking about when we can go again. So I definitely recommend this for parents who want the same. However, it was equally enjoyable for the adults so it’s just as highly recommended for an all-adult outing. Buddy caters the trip to what you want to catch and your comfort level. He is a long-time resident, even longer-time fisherman and guide, and extremely knowledgeable about the area.
