My wife and I took my father and two girls (ages 7&11) out for a morning of shark fishing. The fishing was great and we really enjoyed the entire day pulling in roughly a dozen sharks ( blacknose, blacktip & finetooth). What made it even better was the interaction with Ben and Nick. They were so great with my kids. They were entertained the entire time. I’d highly recommend going out with the boys on the black skimmer!

We caught about 23 fish. Red snapper( out of season, so back in it went) Black bass ( too small to keep but we caught a good amount, Spanish mackerel (4 we are eating tonight!) king mackerel ( undersize) toad fish ( not a keeper) pin fish ( one ounce away from matching the state record according to Nick and Ben and a blue fish the was in the boat but jumped back in! The time flew by we were having such a good time. I will book with them again.

Overall we had a really great experience.  Not much biting, but my son did get to reel in a 3 ft black nose that provided some excitement.  Also ran up on some Jacks and Tarpin feeding in a bunch of bait fish, but by the time we got some casts out by then the frenzy ended.
The one bit of advice I’d provide for the captain, and the clients, is to get clear directions with regard to arrival, check in etc.  we were running late, and it took sus a while to find the right place to park, then to find the office to complete payment etc.  not that big a deal if you arrive early enough,  it as we were running late it added a bit of stress and lost is about 15-20 minutes.
All in all a great trip, good crew and a good boat.  We will check them out again if/when we get back to HH.

We had a blast Capt. Steve was great. Jackson was an awesome first-mate. Can’t wait to plan our next trip.

Captain Ben and Nick were extremely friendly and ready for us when we arrived for our 1-6 excursion.  Captain Ben and Nick were knowledgeable about the local waters and we were catching fish within two minutes of putting lines in the water.  Equipment was good for both bottom fishing and trolling.  We pulled in near a shrimp boat on the way back in and nearly hooked a very large tarpon which broke the water trying to take our bait.  We hooked in to a medium size shark before heading home.  I would highly recommend a trip with Black Skimmer charters with Captain Ben and Nick.
