My 14 year old son and I went on an 8 hour bottom fishing trip with Captain Dan of Careyon Charters some 46 or so miles out of Murrells Inlet. Captain Dan has an awesome boat that made good time out and back and was very comfortable. Captain Dan demonstrated expert knowledge in fishing as well masterfully dodging some thunderstorms without compromising time for fishing. Over the years my son and I have several fishing trips on the inlets and bays of the area, but one of the first things he said as we drove away with our cooler full of cleaned filets and steaks was ” that’s the most I’ve ever learned on a fishing trip.”

Capt Dan was excellent.  Great boat.  We had fishing hitting all day!!!  Super experience for our family!!  Never a dull moment.

Had a great trip. Caught 6 barracudas and 2 King Mackerels trolling. Had 4 more fish on the lines but they broke off. We pretty much had non-stop action all day, we planned on bottom fishing too if it slowed down but there was no need.Dan was very helpful to us and knows where the fish are. The trip was a great experience. Thankfully we were able to go out with him before the Hurricane put an early end to our week beach vacation.
