What a way to spend a morning! We saw the sun come up over Hululalia which we never have seen being from the other side of the Island.(Kalapana) and John enjoyed the morning by getting the first fish and giving the 3 gentlemen the opportunity to reel in one.
Cap’t Andy and Sandy had been informed that I am mostly in a wheelchair but can move with a lot of help, all the gentlemen went above and beyond getting me on board and settled comfortably where I could see the action. The charter was diffidently one of the greatest gifts my husband received as part of our 25th anniversary! The only thing that could have been communicated clearer is the fact that the crew makes only tips and what they can get from selling the fish caught. That is great for those wanting only the experience but is not pono for those who are local or simply want the fish they caught. I was saddened to find out that one of the tourist (Shaun, from Idaho) complained of not getting any fish even though we gave him some which he gave back as we were departing. Mahalo for a great adventure.
