We traveled from TN to NC for a getaway weekend and booked with Captain Big Fish and it was worth every penny and every hour spent on the water! The service was top notch, the fishing was a blast (not to mention so delicious & fresh) the captain and first mate Kyle were so much fun & courteous. We made great memories, soaked in the sun and saw some dolphins too! Captain Big Fish was the perfect guide to an area we’d never been to before! Kyle was so kind & very knowledgeable as well. We ate our Spanish Mackerel for dinner (with Captain Big Fish’s recipe) and it was SO fresh & tasty! Thank you for everything….we will be back and only fishing with this crew!! Don’t book anywhere else folks!

Some days it seems like the fish run from you or they simply aren’t hungry… today was one of those days.  We trolled for a few hours, and only caught one Spanish Mackrell, which we were to use as bait later for a Big Fish.  It was obvious Monty knew what he was doing and he went to great lengths to help get a big catch.  I loved his confidence.  He said, we’re going to catch a Barracuda and that’s exactly what he did.  He and his 1st mate, Reece worked well together, and if extended the time on the water, because they were determined to find the big fish we came for.  I appreciate these guys and we’ll be back.

Can’t say enough good things about Captain Monty’s Charter Boat experience.  Captain Monty and First Mate Alex were the Best!  They were both so personable and upbeat and they played the best music!  Everyone in our group loved it.  Had a young one that felt a little rough for a short bit and Captain Monty made sure she cooled off with water, got her wet towels and after a short time she was back to fishing and loving it.  Captain Monty was so kind and patient with her.  The boat is spacious and clean.  The weather was gorgeous.  We caught quite a few Spanish Mackerels that they cleaned and filleted for us to take home and enjoy.  We will definitely be booking with them in the future.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
