Absolutely incredible day of fishing with Captain Mike Rathjen on the Ballie Who III.  We booked a full day trip on short notice during our vacation to Islamorada and it turned out to be the best part of our entire trip.  We were fortunate to have captain Mike Mason from Timeout Sportfishing as our first mate as well so we were completely surrounded by fishing expertise during the trip.  The day started out locating and catching live bait which the captain and mate made short work of.  We then headed a bit further offshore and caught our limit of tuna within approximately 30 minutes!  That left us the rest of the day to look for mahi which we proceeded to catch a total of 17 (3 short of my wife and I’s 2 person limit.). Let it be known that we had the final 3 fish of our limit on a number of times however they ended up getting lucky and escaped our freezer.  Can’t recommend Captain Mike, his boat, and crew highly enough.  We will definitely be fishing with them again soon.
