At the last minute I wanted to book a trip to take my kids fishing while I was down in Galveston.  I was able to book this trip with Captain Zach.  Both of my sons reeled in the first fish of the day which was 40ish lb black drum.  It rained a little bit.  The wind was blowing hard all day and it really wasn’t very good fishing weather but we still made it work!!  I ended up reeling in the 2nd fish and it was a MONSTER black drum that I could barely hold up with both hands!! Overall we had an amazing experience and the wind just made it interesting on the ride out there and back.  The kids loved it.  😄 🤣

This was our second trip we booked with keeping’ it reel and this trip didn’t disappoint! We wanted to go for the bigger fish this trip to celebrate my son’s 9th birthday and we got the big fish! It was a slower day but the ones we caught were worth it! No keepers for us this trip but in the words of my son that just means we need to book another trip! Our captain was liam this trip and he was amazing! Super attentive and helpful, he taught my son how to cut certain bait, explained what fish like what bait and the right wait to put the bait on the hooks and more! Thank you Captain Liam for making my sons day one to remember! We hope to book trip number 3 in the summer!!!

The only problem I had was with the cleaning of the fish I was under the impression that the cleaning of the fishing was part of the trip but when we got back another man was asked to clean our fish and he asked for money I gave him what little cash I had after giving the crew a very good tip and the man that cleaned the fish toke all our red fish steaks not very impressed with that part but as far as the fishing part it was great Zac took care of us very well put us right on the fish I would recommend them highly but workout the cleaning befor last minute

This trip exceeded my expectations. As a first time private charter fisher, I wasn’t sure what to expect but Zack hooked us up! We did the 4 hour shark adventure and were catching constantly. Zack was hilarious and helped us out with everything. I didn’t expect to catch as many as we did but we finished with a total of 7 sharks, 4 jacks, and a stingray, not including the ones that broke while reeling in from the big fighters. I will remember this trip forever and will definitely be coming back. 10/10 recommend!
