Excellent.  Caught our limit of lake trout.  Captain Lenny was wonderful with our 12 year old grandson who did non stop talking and asking questions.  Would book again.  Captain cleaned and bagged our catch.  Easy to find and parking.  Thank you.  Joni, Gary & Carter.

I received the Tripp’s a birthday gift from my wife. It was a day full of making memories with my grandson, my son-in-laws, and my friend.
Captain Lenny knew exactly where the fish were at. Our entire group met the 6 person limit of lake trout within 4 hours. Captain Lenny is knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a great fishing trip.

We had some inexperienced younger fisherman aboard and Captain Lenny worked hard to make their adventure both fun and rewarding! Lenny put the boat on a lot of fish when another captain we also used didn’t get a single hit all evening until the very last rays of light. You will not have a finer big lake fishing experience than you will with Slipknot and Captain Lenny at the helm!

We really enjoyed our fishing trip. Captain Lenny is a great Captain and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend him. We had to cancel our original trip due to the weather and Captain Lenny was very helpful and accommodating with that. The day we rescheduled for turned out to be a beautiful day. We will definitely use him again if we go back to Manistee. Thanks again Captain Lenny!

Me and 5 of my fellas drove up to Manistee MI so excited for the thought of just catching some Salmon.  We received a call the day before from Captain Lenny confirming our Charter.  On Monday we got up early in the morning, had breakfast at our hotel and headed to the Dock.  We got on board and proceeded to drive out to Deep Waters.  Captain Lenny warned us that the waters could be a bit turbulent(Thanks Dorian) however we were so excited we wanted to fish and as long as we had a honest shot at catching fish, we wanted to proceed.

Well to make a long story short, the waves were high, the waves rocked the boat, and there was absolutely nothing biting, a couple of us got sick due to the waves and we called our trip, cutting it short.  Returned back to dock very disappointed int he outcome, in essence we wasted 600 bucks. 

Later on the way home we came to find from the local tackle and fish place that basically the waters had been turbulent all week and no one was really out there catching anything, per what they said. 

So the moral of the lesson from us is simply this, Lake MI has great fishing, but make sure of the conditions and understand what is happening on the waters for that day.  We were inexperienced and we paid the price, but our trip was fantastic despite the disappointment of not getting any fish. 

Please go fish and enjoy yourself, but do your homework and know what the physical conditions are so you can truly enjoy your time.
