I wish I could rate it beyond 5 stars! We honestly can’t recommend lucky strike enough. Captain Ed and first mate Bryan went above and beyond and way over exceeded our expectations. Within the first five minutes of being on the boat we knew it was going to be a great trip. Captain Ed wasted no time getting out to sea as we were mobile within 1 or 2 minutes of boarding the boat. Bryan never let the conversation die out and did the best job by far of any first mate we’ve ever seen. We did trolling and bottom fishing and caught an abundance of fish doing both! When it came to bottom fishing captain Ed did everything in his power to keep us catching fish and he did a great job doing so.If the fish weren’t biting he was on the move to a different spot. They are both family friendly and all around a top notch team. They both made our bachelor trip one that will be talked about the rest of our lives! We will be back for multiple trips in the future! If your looking to experience the trip of a lifetime please take it from me this is your spot! Thanks a lot lucky strike!!

We booked with Lucky Strike last minute when our original charter won’t reply to my messages the day before the trip. Captain Elliott was very fast to respond and saved our fishing trip. The boat is in very good condition, lots of room with a bathroom. We targeted Black Sea Bass. I caught 37, our group of 3 caught over 70 with a lot of keepers. The captain and first mate was absolutely wonderful. The captain put us on the fish when other smaller boats struggled to find them. The first mate was nice to chat with and knows his job well. I highly recommend them, especially if you have kids or teenagers. To top of the trip, the Captain recommended a fresh seafood shack not far from the dock. We got some awesome fresh shrimp to add to our sea bass dinner. Going back to Myrtle Beach end of June, we are looking forward to fishing with Lucky Strike again.

Our family could not have asked for anything more. The boat was spotless, the captain was very welcoming, and the first mate Brian was exceptional. We caught 16 fish in the first hour and the kids had an absolute blast. We highly recommend this charter and look forward to coming back again soon!

At 7 am we meet ED and his first mate Mongo at calabash. It was quite cold out and dark. But they were ready to go with good spirit. It was 55 degrees outside and I should have brought clovers and warmer cloths. But off we went the four of us. The cabin area of the boat was large with a 4 person dinette and a large L shape bench seat across from the dinette. One bathroom in the bow of the boat that was clean. Boat was very organized and clean first mate by Mongo. After the brief introduction Captain Ed pulled away from the dock and set course for our fishing trip. In about 20 minutes we were fishing.  We setup to catch Spanish Mackerel. We caught 10 fish in total and then we moved on to Shark fish. Yes shark fishing. Using a couple of the Spanish Mackerel for bait we caught three sharks. One of which I caught was a hammer head. Our was than up so we headed back to the docks. At the docks Mongo cleaned and bagged the fish. Make sure you bring a cooler for you catch and food. I would also suggest the 6 hour trip.

Yes the boat is old but fast, 600 hp single engine that gets you the fishing spots quickly. 3 fishing seats at the stern.

A good time was had by all, from my 78 year old dad to my 15 year old nephew. My dad had a stroke a couple of years ago and can’t get around without a walker or a cane. When I contacted Captain Ed with my concerns regarding trying to safely take my dad fishing, he knew exactly how to make it work. He and Brian made getting dad on and off the boat absolutely seamless, and if dad wanted to walk around on the boat, Brian was immediately at the ready to help move my dad safely from point a to point b.  I’m no expert on deep sea fishing, but as far as I’m concerned, Captain Ed and Brian (Mungo) are 2 of the kindest men in the business! They knew exactly where the Spanish mackerel and shark were, made sure everyone caught fish and everyone had a great time! I’ll absolutely be a repeat customer, and I cannot thank them enough for giving our family the opportunity for these memories with my dad.
