My son Charlie and I had two 8 hour trips booked with Captain DJ. It was windier than usual for tis time of year and his boat handled the conditions like a dream. Our first day we caught multiple species of fish, totaling about 25, which is good for any day on the water. Our second day Captain suggested we start later in the morning because the bite has been better in PM. Boy was he right! We had some success in the morning and he took us into some really cool backcountry where we saw Crocodile and many species of birds. By afternoon the bite was on…we had 2 hours of what seemed like a fish every other cast. I know this is not usual but without Captain DJ’s suggestion and locations we would not have had a chance to experience something like this. He is friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend him for the novice to hardcore fisherman…he puts you on fish! Thanks again Captain, Tight lines!

This was my first fishing trip in the keys and I took my son and daughter with me for a 3/4 day trip.  Even though the 15 mph wind made for less than ideal conditions, Captain DJ exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to help make for an incredible day of fishing.  We caught speckled trout, snook, and redfish and were able to have plenty of filets to take home and eat with the rest of the family.  I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed DJ and how hard he worked for us to catch fish and enjoy our trip.  I definitely recommend him and will use him again when I’m back in Key Largo.

Took the family from Utah down to the Keys. First timers down there and this was a must (to go fishing). But I didn’t want to pay a ton of money so I did my research and found this site and this Captain “Captain Alejo”. The first day over cast some rain in and out. He took us to great spots that had a lot of fish. Caught Jaks, Snook, Red Drum. Even had a shark come up out of nowhere and took a nice big Snook from me and left me the head. He said be careful and reel fast in this area cause of sharks and WAM!!!! A shark. He call all the spots for my son, dad, and me. If your a avid angler and want fish, even if your not he’ll get you on fish. My dad not so much a fisherman and look at that snook he got. Second day, it was slower but man he did it again and got us fish. We saw shark, dolphins swimming around and a Everglade see turtle swimming.  It was a great and unforgettable trip.
Thanks Captain Alejo you made my son and I very happy and made this a trip we won’t for get.

What a great time! From the first hello to the conversation when Captain DJ was cleaning our catch, was a great experience.
Captain DJ was one of the best fishing guides I have ever experienced, right from the communication of emails to his extraordinary skills of putting you on fish in the Everglades national park. We were experienced fishermen but yet we felt at the end of the trip we learned plenty of new techniques. I do feel he would be great with any family member you brought out for fishing.

Had a great day with Capt DJ.  Easy going, knowledgeable, and a just a down right great guy.  We hooked up with several trout and a nice red. To many snapper to count.
