Alan is a great captain! He can put it in the mangroves just like the best of us. It was a great trip caught a ton of fish! I look at boats and captain’s before going. You will not have a problem fishing with Alan! He is the man even though he was born in Calumet city IL. I didn’t ask him but I would say his DAD’S name is Jake or Elwood!

Awesome crew was honest with me before the trip in the booking process that what we were going for was gonna be rough because it wasn’t the right time of year and still was able to put us on the fish we were after we just weren’t able to make it happen on our end I would highly recommend we had an awesome time and will be returning soon

Couldn’t have been a better experience. Getting to the boat was easy, Spangler team was communicative, and trip itself was great. Knowledgeable captains who know the waters and where the “hot spots” are. Their goal is keep you casting and pulling in fish the entire time - and they did that!

It was a great experience fishing with Captain Alan.  He got me on numerous snook, redfish, mackerel, and jacks,  The pictures above of the snook and redfish speak for themselves—-trophies.  And that jack fought just as hard as any four lb smallmouth I’ve ever caught. Chris was great all the way around. Helped us, taught us and great overall conversation and tips. Best part is we caught over 50 fish in 4 hours and had the best fish fry when we got back to house. Can’t wait to come back next year and try the tarpon trip 😎
