I guess the old saying “no good deed goes unpunished” sometimes does come true. This client expressed to me a week before her charter that she is very prone to sea sickness. The day before her original scheduled charter the winds did not look favorable for her condition. So instead of making her go on her scheduled day or canceling her charter entirely, we asked if she would like to go the following day as the winds and seas were going to be much calmer.

The boat she went on is a very nice custom built boat out of Miami and anyone that knows anything light tackle fishing knows that Whitewater boats are some of the best in the business. Also, all of our Captains here at Fish Key West Florida have many years of experience fishing, full-time in the Keys, and take 200+ charters a year.

Unfortunately, the fishing was slow this particular day, to try and do everything we could to generate a successful charter we gave her an additional two hours of fishing time beyond the half day charter she booked. I can assure you many other captains would not have done that. To top it all off in a private message she accused me of being sexist by saying “I only moved her because she’s a woman”. That is a first in 24 years of business and extremely unprofessional of Mrs Triskiewicz

In hindsight we should have just canceled her charter that was originally booked due to the wind conditions and her prone to see sickness. To top it all off as we did everything, we could to accommodate Mrs. Triskiewicz she called us scammers which is completely uncalled for. We do our best to accommodate all of our guests needs especially hard with the shared charters.
