We had a great day on the water with Captain Phil. We had four adults fishing with different fishing experience levels, and he was great with all skill levels. We started inshore and we were on fish right away. We brought in several snook and redfish within the first hour. We then went out into the gulf for nearly the rest of the day and had action all day, with great success both drop fishing for grouper and snapper and topwater for Bonita and mackerel. One member of our party was pregnant, and Captain Phil was very considerate of boat speed and made the trip out into the gulf as smooth as possible. We then finished the day inshore and caught several decent-sized snook. We ended up with a cooler full of fish and smiles all around. Cannot recommend him enough, our trip was worth every cent!

What a lovely amazing morning out with Capt. Phil.  We caught over 50 various fish, snook, amberjack, Mackerel, spotted and silver trout, catfish,  blues and many more.  Capt Phil took us to great spots, we caught a bunch of fish while other charters barely caught anything.
My wife even caught Capt Phil’s trolling motor… which he was very VERY patient with!!!  She felt really bad, but Capt Phil was very professional about it.

Capt Phil cut up our keepers and we had an amazing dinner of Mackerel and trout.  If you are hesitant on eating these fish… let me be the first to tell you…  each filled was flaky, tender and non fish tasting.  Great blackened, as tacos,  fried or baked.  AND We had more than enough to cook.and try each of the ways I mentioned.

I would totally suggest to take Capt Phil’s Awestruck Charter.  So worth it.

It was a great trip.  Phil took us in shore which was easier on my 86 year old Dad and my wife who is not a fan of being out to far from the shore line.  We tried a couple different approaches and Phil got us on fish.  Highly recommend.

Captain Phil put us on the fish in multiple spots as well helped my wife out with casting so she could fish as well I would definitely go out with captain Phil again

Captain Phil did great getting us to different spots, and tried hard to put us on fish. Everyone caught, mostly redfish and a couple sheepshead.

We had booked the near-shore ~9 mile trip, but it was too windy (~17mph) to get out there, and unfortunately had to stay in the bays and fish docks despite paying the higher rate.
