Fished two full days with Grayson, one for tarpon and one offshore. Tarpon fishing was a blast! Saw many fish rolling. Boated two but got many near the boat before they got off. (No problem for me as they were just going right back in the water anyway. Grayson has many little honey holes where he finds the fish.
Offshore we had several strikes, but nothing landed. Grayson then took us inside the reef and we promptly caught ten Spanish mackerel, a couple bonitos and a nice barracuda, all within the space of an hour or so.
This was my fourth time fishing with Grayson and I highly recommend him!

Captain Grayson and the Sierra family are the best. Homemade salsa from his wife, Tamales from his Mother, and of course an amazing lunch at Omar’s. Enough catch(snapper, mackerel, bonito, jack, cuda) for an amazing dinner/dinners, and even more! He put us on the fish and he’s an amazing artist as well. We can’t thank Captain Grayson and the Sierra family enough.

We got a late start because of ourselves and grayson was very accommodating. He set us in fish within 5 minutes of reaching our first spot. My niece, my wife, and myself all had a good time. He was very informative and knowledgeable of his area and the fishing. He also was heat with our 11 year old niece treating her with as much respect and consideration. He also took us to see the manatees. We were looking for a little fun and some fish to eat and we were treated to both. We caught 5 types of fish, moonfish/lookdown,snook, jack crevalle, barracuda, and mutton snapper(I believe).Thank you Capt. Grayson.

What a trip! Grayson couldn’t have been a better guide and captain for our all-day trip. We fished in about 8 different locations, with Grayson changing out lures or baitfish depending on the area. He had homemade sandwiches and a cooler full of drinks. We caught a cooler full of fish and at the end of the day Grayson took us by his dad’s restaurant and he cleaned them for us. A fantastic day.

My full day trip with Captain Grayson was absolutely phenomenal.  From start to finish he was patient and extremely informative.  The trip ended with me taking my fresh catch over to the local seafood restaurant owned by his family where it was expertly prepared to my liking.  If you love fishing and find yourself in Placencia, don’t pass up the opportunity to fish with Waata Daag!!!!
