A little torn on this review. Overall, was a fun time for the whole fam. Caught fish, had fun. Nice boat and gear. Would recommend. I was a bit disappointed in that we have done many charters in the past, and therefore had some interest in targeting species that have not before. Even paid for the 3/4 day to be sure there would be time to even go a little deeper if needed for this. Was never asked by the captain before the charter what we were targeting. I talked with the mate about our desires on the dock before the captain was at the boat. He talked with the captain privately before we boarded the boat, so assumed that was discussed. But spent the whole day trolling just off the shore. So if you’re looking to just fish and catch whatever the captain puts you on, this is an awesome day. But if you want to target species, learn from my mistake and be more explicit with the captain.

I like to do my research on things like this and I am glad that I did.  We had so much fun!  The boat is clean and equipt with everything you would need.  They did 4 methods of fishing.  We ended up with 2 Tuna, 1 Hammerhead shark, 1 shark and a King Mackerel.  Super fun crew that meshed well with each other which also made the day enjoyable.  I highly recommend them in everyway possible.

Had a great time with Chad and Brendan. Chad put us through schools of tuna. We overheard others who caught nothing but bonito. Brendan kept the gear righed up snd gaffed fish for us. We ran six rigs, two on outriggers. Both Captain an First Mate were lively snd personable. When we got back to the dock they filleted some of the tuna, cut steaks from the bigger ones. We all had a great time!

We had a blast on Old Hat. My 8 year old landed several fish and we had a great time. I would recommend fishing with them again. I can’t fault the captain or the crew for not having the latest and greatest boat and gear. They did a great job with what they have and we knew going in the boat wasn’t brand new. It was clean and cared for which is all you can ask for in a 40 plus year old boat.
