Very professional and knowledgeable captain!  We catch lots of fish’s including 4 sharks of over 8 foot !! We had an amazing fishing day thx Freddie!!

Couldn’t ask for a better fishing trip! Caught fish we’e never caught before.  Freddy is one of the most knowledgeable captains we’ve been with.  Justin (mate) was so pleasant, friendly,  knowledgeable and totally helpful.  We were so happy, we asked for business cards to give to our fishing buddies at home!!

First time fishing on this boat for any of us, we wanted to put a grouper trip together for the opening of the season and have heard good things about captain Freddie.  We stopped to catch some live grunts to go with the pins he had in the livewell already,  we did just that,  30 minutes we had it blacked out. On to deeper water he says, we get there drop down and instantly hooked up! Got our 6 keeper grouper and decided to come in a little bit shallower and get some trigger fish and seabass for the stringer.  Amazing day and will definitely be back on the Southwind.

The directions to the boat are obsolete and we wondered around until we found someone that could tell us where to go.
Upon arrival no introductions were made and we were just told to get on the boat so we could leave. We had to ask the name of the first mate. I personally never talked with the captain even though I was the planner of the trip.
We only caught 4 fish and never tried anything different to get us on fish. Just kept circling the same spot over and over. We were all bored, anything different would have been appreciated.
Fish were never hung so we could do a group photo. Was not even offered this opportunity or even offered by the captain or first mate to take one. Simply laid the fish on the cutting table and were ready to cut them up before I stopped them so we could get a pic of the few fish we did catch.
We asked Freddie if he was going to split the tip with his first mate and he said yes but we did not see him do so as he bolted as soon as we paid him.
Would never recommend this charter as it just seems little or no effort was made to make us happy. Was not even offered drinks the whole trip.
