Captain Nick had to postpone our trip a couple of days due to some family health issues but was willing to work with us to get on the water before we had to head home.

We ended up with beautiful weather and had a smooth ride out. Started out with a bit of trolling but switched to bottom fishing after not getting any hits. We caught a bunch of bait fish, a few vermilion, several almaco jack, some red snapper, and one nice barracuda. We got to fight a few other big fish but lost them before we saw what they were.

We had 5 of us on the boat and it seemed a bit like some were just bait fishing the whole time and not put in position to catch anything bigger. I understand it’s fishing and some get bit and some don’t. Overall it was a good trip and everyone had fun.

One final note for parents: We had my niece (15 yo) and nephew (9 yo) with us and Capt. Nick didn’t refrain from using a bunch of four letter words and talking about drinking and smoking the “devil’s lettuce”.

Great trip with Captain Nick and Crew Nick. Fishing wasn’t the best in the Deep seas, but we got into fish and had a great time! It’s an experience we will definitely do again when the temperature heats up.
Took care of ALL the fishing gear and filleted our fish for us. We decided to stay in the deep seas for our entire trip and we were into sailfish, mahi mahi, barracuda, and tuna.

Thanks Captain Nick! My 18-year-old son and friends on spring break from Monroe County, Michigan, said you’re fishing adventure was the highlight of their week! They paid $3 somewhere local to have them cook up a feast of the several fish they caught! I know that they will remember this forever! Pictures to come…🎣

I took my 4 boys and this trip was awesome!  We caught plenty of fish and the boys had a blast catching a few sharks.
