As will sometimes happen when you fish, we got skunked. But this was NOT due to any lack of effort on Captain Chris’s part! He tried everything he could think of! But to no avail. Nobody on the boats around us was catching fish that day. The weather was perfect, and the water was smooth as glass.
I would go fishing with him again in a heartbeat!
If I were to change anything, I would like to try using herring instead of squid lures. Not due to any secret or superior knowledge on my part, but just because it was what I’m most familiar with when salmon fishing.
Chris worked nonstop to provide us with the best experience we could have expected.

This was an incredible trip! Captain Chris was transparent about our chances since it was so late in the season and he still got us on fish. It was my father’s first salmon fishing and he landed a nice coho. I can’t recommend Big King Salmon Charter highly enough. We are already making plans for next year’s charter!!!

Great guy to talk to.  Really knows his stuff.  VERY patient with his first timers.  Chartered with Captain Chris multiple times now with family who hadn’t fished before.  He should start an OnlyFins account.  ;)

Captain Chris was super accommodating for our group of 5 with varying fishing skills. He gave clear instructions on what to do and when and showed great patience with us. He was great to talk to and offered amazing ways ways to serve the 3 coho salmon we caught as he was once a chef. Recommend 100%

Our day trip with Captain Chris was wonderful! We went out during a Coho Salmon Derby. We caught several big fish and Chris was a great guide and host for the day. I would definitely recommend this charter company and would go out on the boat with Chris again!
