We have an amazing time we will definitely book another trip soon

Thanks to Captain Dietrich, we had an amazing day on Saginaw Bay. The boat was amazing, well maintained, and comfortable. After we left dock, and cruised a no wake area for a few, the engines began to roar and within a few minutes, he had us on top of fish. It’s was amazing to see how he is able to keep so many lines clear of each other. We were lucky enough to have the walleye cooperate by graciously sampling our hooks, and they were especially hungry that day,  as we all got our limit (this was my first time, so beginners luck shared with everyone) , I was going to say that the only thing better than all the fish was the captains personality, his focus on the boat, fish and us, and his willingness to share his knowledge with us, however I think that was outdone by the fact that I caught a DNR tagged walleye and wound up getting $100 for reporting the tag. Man, I hope we can have another perfect day like this one!

Captain Shane went over and above trying to get our limit of Walleye. Even though we didn’t it was a great day on the water fishing.

I gave this fishing trip for Christmas to my husband,  son-in-laws and brother-in-law. This is their 2nd time fishing with Captain Shane.  They have been looking forward to it since December!!!
They can’t stop talking about it!!  It was a bit chilly but waters were fairly calm. The guys had a wonderful time and Captain Shane did everything to make the trip special and successful.  They are ready to go again!! Thank you for a great experience….again!!!

My son and daughter visited us this week.  They each have 2 boys between 10 and 13.  Three years ago, each family visited us and I booked charter fishing trips with Captain Shane for them.  When we planned their visits this year, their first request was to charter a fishing trip again with Captain Shane.

Captain Shane has many years of experience with fishing in the Saginaw Bay.  He knows exactly where to find walleye.  As soon as he started putting the poles in the water, the fish started biting!  We reached our limit on the first trip and caught 22 on the second trip when we asked to come in because a couple of our party were feeling queasy.  We could have easily caught our limit that day, too.

Captain Shane is extremely patient with kids and ensures that they have a great time by letting them reel in all the fish that we caught.  Although Captain Shane does most of the work, he found ways to involve the boys and teach them anything that they were interested in learning.  After we got back to the dock, Captain Shane showed my daughter how to filet the fish as he fileted all 22 in no time.  He also shared his favorite walleye recipes.  We tried one that night that we enjoyed very much.

We all loved the charters so much, we are already planning next year’s trip with Captain Shane.
