We had a great time fishing with Captain Shad!! He obviously puts a lot of care and work into his boat and equipment, it was all very clean and neat. We caught a few fish, one even big enough to fry up for a little lunch!! One of the restaurants right there at the dock was able to fry it up for my husband after Captain Shad filleted it for us, which added so much to the experience. My husband and I were down visiting the area for my birthday and a family trip, so we decided we wanted to do a fishing charter. We got SO lucky to have found Captain Shad! We had so much fun with him, trying all the different areas and all of the different set ups he had. Unfortunately, my husband won (for only the 3rd time ever) in our little fishing contest, but that was only because Captain Shad put him in the right place. 😊 we would highly recommend and come back for Captain Shad’s charters!... Great time yesterday with Capt Shad on our Near Shore fishing trip. We didn’t have many bites on our lines with the rough seas and low sea temps but had a great experience for our first time out. Capt is knowledgeable and did his best to find us some fish. We caught about 5-7 small sized Spanish mackerel. Will try again when weather warms up and hopefully with calmer seas. First time trolling. Captain Shad is very knowledgeable. He informed us of the safety rules, showed us how to reel the line in when there was a fish on the line.
