Very nice captain and first mate. They picked us up off the pier of our hotel, which was a great start.  It was a nice diesel
Boat and it came equipped with drinks and equipment like described. The weather in Cozumel on the water can change quickly, and it went from Smooth to 2-3ft swells. Be ready with sea sickness prophylaxis measures!
The negatives…. We trolled for 4hours and never had a bite. It’s called fishing not catching, but I would have appreciated an alternative method to fish. They list Bottom fishing, jigging, and trolling as options! We only trolled and after 2hrs I asked if there was a bottomed spot to fish, which the reply was “no”! I have been out of Mexico fishing numerous times, including Cancun, Cabo, and now Cozumel and never had a problem getting at least a bite. We did not have live bait, just pin fish that were salted to help not decay. Again, nice people, and there is not fish finder!  iIt may be safer to go out 6 hrs or longer to attempt different methods for fish to increase your success.

The owner was always available for contact and returned messages quickly!! I would book again knowing this information.

We took a ten minute cab ride from the cruise pier to the marina. Had a great time with the crew Poncho and Freddie they are very knowledgeable of the area and we had lines in the water in no time although we struggled to get a bite we finally nailed a 3 ft barracuda be for the trip ended. Success!!!!

We were recently chartered with Montze and Captain Freddie while we were in port from our Mariner of the Seas Thanksgiving Cruise. The marina was just a short cab ride away from the port. For 4 people the cab cost 16 dollars and took about 15 minutes. We fished with Captain Freddie and the 1st mate Antonio.

They were ready for us when we arrived at about 8:45-9:00 and the boat owner was also there and it was a very smooth process of boarding and paying the remainder of the trip.

We caught a decent amount of fish and overall had a wonderful time. Captain Freddie even took the time to make us some fresh ceviche from a Spanish Mackerel that we caught while trolling.

We caught 2 Mutton Snapper which we had not ever caught before so that was very exciting and there were plenty of Barracuda to go around for everyone to catch several.

They had fresh cut fruit on the boat like Pineapple and Mellon. Also plenty of chips and snacks which is a nice change from when we fish in the USA and we have to bring loads and loads of stuff with us. Also they had a fully stocked cooler with water, soft drinks and some Mexican Beer that was perfect to celebrate each catch.

Antonio the 1st mate was very knowledgeable as well and overall I would recommend this charter to anyone. They had snorkel gear onboard if you wished but we are not much for the snorkeling type. We did stop towards the end of the day so I could jump in the water to cool off as it was very hot even for November.

We will be booking with Montze again the next time we are in Cozumel for sure!

This fishing company is amazing! Every single aspect of what they do is perfect. The communications with the company were prompt, informative and pleasant. Most of they were accurate. The boat was kitted out with fist class gear. They had properly prepared live bait, every type of lure imaginable and top quality reels. We had 4 lines in the water with 10 minutes of leaving the dock. The boat was captained by Julio who went above and beyond in his duties. On our way back home he spotted a billfish. Rather than continuing in he did everything he could to get it to bite. In the end we did not get it, but thats why they call it fishing, not catching. As a result of chasing the billfish the trip ended up being 5 hours not 4. No extra charge! The mate for the trip was Jose. What a nice guy.  He worked his butt off all day and did it with a sense of joy and humor.
He filleted my fish within 15 minutes of it landing on the boat. Again, no extra charge! They had ample ice in the chedt to keep the fillets nice and cold. I’ve been fishing for 40 years and have done so in many places. This is the best I have ever experienced.  One last thing, the tacos were delicious and the never ending supply of cold beer was appreciated. I am already planning on coming back and I will use this company and request this crew again.
