This is my third time using the Thaisa II, it’s my go to boat for fishing in Aruba. I original chose the boat as it has three fighting chairs in the back, which makes the day just more comfortable, especially if it’s choppy. This year I took my niece and her friend who had never been fishing before. This was a fun experience the first mate Joel was fantastic. He was very talkative and told us a lot of good stories. His 30 years of fishing knowledge was impressive. Four of us went and he rotated the rods so that everybody caught their fair share of tuna. We had 3 to 10 foot swells which rock the boat pretty well but Joel made us feel very comfortable I did not worry once. Everyone had a good time and good eats.

Our 1/2 day morning trip was cut short due to ” inexperienced anglers issues” but despite the shortened trip, fishing was productive. The attached pic shows what we boated but we lost 4 “big ones”. Captain did his job putting us where the fish were and 1st Mate Joel worked hard to make sure we were as successful as possible when we had fish on. BTW…Joel was fun to shoot-the-s#&t with.
