Conditions were difficult for our early March trip, but Capt. Ron found fish and kept us (mostly) dry despite stiff winds and chop. I will hire this pirate again.

Great time on the water. Went with my two kids and capt Ron was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable and answered all their questions and put us in the fish non stop action. Kids had a blast and are still talking about the day. It was blowing with gusts up to 25mph but he knew exactly where to go and how to get us there safely. Highly recommended.

Great morning with Ron. Having lived here forever, he knew everything about everything. He was quick to bait our hooks and keep the fun going. We were celebrating a college graduation and I know my son will remember this fishing experience for a long time. Caught a 12 pound snapper we are having for dinner at a local restaurant! Thank you Ron

My son and I spent a full-day fishing with Captain Ron.  The backcountry fishing was awesome.  We were successful in catching Snook, Trout, Ladyfish, Shark, Catfish, Grouper, Barracuda and more.  Captain Ron is highly recommended for his experience and knowledge of the fishery.  I learned a lot listening to him talk about the backcountry fishing.  It is a long ride to the fishing grounds in shallow water and he navigates it like a true professional (50 minutes). 

After half a day in the backcountry we left and returned to the bay in hopes of Tarpon.  The tarpon didn’t cooperate, but we did have a blast reaction fishing for barracuda.  If you have not fished with top water lures for barracuda you should ask him to do it.  It was awesome.  We are avid bass anglers and this was right up our alley making long casts to highly aggressive fish. 

The only thing to let people know is that Captain Ron does expect you to be ready at all times and not make mistakes in bait presentation.  There were a couple of times when my son and I weren’t ready or made an errant cast and you could tell it was frustrating to him.  With that said, it is only because he wants you to be successful so we were ok with his disappointment.  Overall this is an excellent guide and we would go with him again on our next trip to the area.

Captain Ron is a great guy, knowledgeable, very patient and determined to make the trip memorable.  Caught 8-10 different varieties..THE TRIP WAS AMAZING!!!
