Deckhands were hardworking and a pleasure to talk to.  Captain didn’t interact with anyone.  Advertises using live bait.  There is no live well and the bait was very frozen. Boat is described as rustic… there are exposed wires throughout the cabin, no AC as advertised and questionable safety equipment make me wonder if this vessel could pass a safety inspection.  It floats and gets out to the fishing grounds, but she could use some work to mirror the ad. 

I would recommend doing a walk through of the boat before you are underway.  Look at the condition of the boat, ask questions, be sure to get a briefing and look at safety equipment.  If you are comfortable, then go have a great time!

We had a great time with Captain Nelson and deckhands Javier and Rayben.  Captain got us out 1.5 hours out of harbor and we hooked up 3 nice Mahi Mahi and jackpot - we hit a 400lb Black Marlin.  It took 45min to get him to the boat.  The Deckhands were super helpful.  What a once in a lifetime experience hooking up a Marlin.  Incredible power.  The lunch they made was delicious.  They also fed us fruit and had enough beers and sodas for the us and the kids. Captain kept us out the full 8 hours. He wants to make sure you have a wonderful time and gets you on fish.  Go ahead and price compare.  You won’t find a better value or a better experience.  (other outfits were $2000-3000 per day )  Highly recommended

The Boat was an older boat but in good shape. It took us about 20-25 miles offshore. Slow to start but the action picked up. Caught and released 2 sailfish and kept on large Dorado! Thank you to our Captain and crew who were very attentive to having fresh bait on the lines and cleaned our catch. The drinks were plentiful, snacks and lunch just OK. We did request some Gatorade but they forgot to include it.  We definitely will book them again as the price was good! Thanks again for a fun day at sea!

Terrific experience. Captain Nelson got us on the fish early and kept them coming in. All 7 of us caught fish. Sailfish to start and then Mahi Mahi to bring home for many feasts. Bento and Tony ( deckhands) were great, working as a well oiled machine and keeping us catching fish. On our list for next year.

It is hard to give a great review for a day of fishing where the only fish we saw was the ballyhoo used for bait.

However, I will say that it was not for lack of trying by the captain and crew.  They tried everything possible.

After getting back we learned that the week we were there was not the week for great fishing.

The other issue was that we were interested in catching some more inshore fish and all we did was look for the offshore species.

The boat is an 83 model and show its age, but it was comfortable, rode the waves and never felt any issues with the boat.  Would not hesitate to go in it again.
