My group had an awesome time. We were put on fish and had a great captain to avoid the potential bad weather at the start. We trolled at the start for some action, then switched to live bait and landed a nice Dolphin on a kite. I would recommend Reel E Sea Charters and Captain Rick for your next charter.

I requested to target Dolphin, even though it is low season.  Capt. Rick put us on a weed line that was unusual for this time of year, and we put 3 keeper Dolphin and 5 tuna in the box.  Let several other Dolphin go to grow bigger for next time.  Had a wonderful time with the Capt. and he was wonderful with my kids.  Spent a little time at the end chasing barracuda (landed a big one!) to excite the kids.  Can’t wait til next time.

Right from the get-go Rick asked me what kind I targeted and I told him that I was looking for a sailfish. From there on Rick and Max worked hard to catch one. After 30 minutes we had a first bite and I reeled it in a beautiful sailfish. Shortly after we had a second sailfish bite, but I lost that one unfortunately. Rick took his time to explain everything in detail and made sure I understand everything what was going on. From the beginning those guys made me feel like a friend and it was fun as hell being out on the water with them. Unfortunately my better half got seasick immediately after the trip started and was struggling badly, so we went back in after 2 hours. Nevertheless it was a trip to remember, an awesome experience and I caught my very first sailfish thanks to these guys. Special thanks to 1st Mate Max!

My daughter’s first offshore fishing trip and we were looking for her first mahi-mahi——and then her second through twentieth.  Although we didn’t have a weed line to work, Capt. Rick got us blind trolling and within about 5-minutes she had her first bull in the cooler.  Unfortunately it was the only one we had hit, so we ended up going inshore and he put us on a bunch of bonito and got our rods bending.  My daughter had a shark chasing one as she was bringing it into the boat and she reeled like a maniac to land it in one piece———and I had a porpoise chase and grab one of mine and take off running.  Wasn’t hooked but he just refused to let go, so I fought him for about 20-minutes and then was able to basically rip the head-half of my bonito out of its grasp; I considered that a draw.

Capt. Rick knows the water and how to find the fish, and his outgoing personality and humor made our 9-hours on the water that much more enjoyable.  And like every fisherman, although we would have liked to end up with a cooler so full of fish we couldn’t close it, we had a great trip with Capt. Rick and will definitely return and re-book with him.
