Took my 2 sons, 5 and 9, out with Captain Rubin.  He was very patient with my very active boys and helped them to catch and land fish.  Even with strong winds, 25 mph, he was able to get us on pretty steady fish. 

I would highly recommend him.  He was very knowledgeable of the area and was equipped for multiple fishing styles.  He chose the one that was best for us and we had success with it.  His boat and equipment were nice and clean and he was great. Memories were made, a good time was had by all, and we were able to bring fish home.  To me that is all you can ask for in a fishing charter!

what a great experience with Ruben as our guide through Rio Fishing guide service. Ruben was especially patient with our 10 year old whose attention span is still developing. but Ruben taught us all the proper way to cast and reel, the different types of styles depending on the bait we were using. Ruben called a few nights before our trip to confirm all the information and was highly personable and professional thought the whole trip, easily catering to all styles and experience of fishing on our boat. would reccomend to everyone who wants to enjoys a good time out in the bay

Ruben took my two teenage daughters and myself out for a bay trip.  Ruben was super patient, and helped my daughters fish the entire time, giving them a great experience.  His guidance was helpful and not overbearing.  He took photos throughout the trip and sent those to us.  He is professional, but jokes around and you can tell that he loves what he does.  We caught fish, and it was a great experience.  I look forward to booking with Ruben again.

Had a great trip, while not ideal conditions, Captain Ruben kept us in position to catch fish and enjoy our morning. My son (10 years old) enjoyed the trip and Captain Ruben kept him engaged. Definitely would recommend Captain Ruben to anyone headed to South Padre Island area.
