Celebrating our parent’s 50th wedding Anniversary in Destin, we chartered the Seahorse. For most of us, it was our first time fishing at sea and for some it was their first time fishing. As a bonus, we saw dolphins up close as they jumped through the wake of the boat as we set off. Captain Dean and First Mate Billy were awesome. They made sure everyone caught a fish. The cabin was air conditioned for those needing a break from the sun and had bunks for those who wanted to rest/relax. It was a wonderful experience and would definitely charter the Seahorse again.

Captain Dean and Billy were great!!  We had 9 guys mostly first time deep sea fishing and it was an experience that will be hard to top. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and calmer seas than we had. It was right after Red snapper season had ended (aug 7th) so we had to toss a few of those back but what we did catch we cooked that night and it was some of the best fish i have eaten (vermilion, white snapper).  I highly recommend the Sea Horse to anyone looking for an experienced captain, crew with a nice fishing boat.

We highly recommend the Seahorse for your next offshore fishing trip. These guys were fantastic! Captain Dean put us right on top of the fish every time, and First Mate Billy kept our fishing lines baited and tangle-free without micromanaging us. Both men were very friendly, personable, and patient with our group. We’ve never been treated better. As you can see in our picture, we had a successful outing and one we will never forget. We will definitely be on this boat and hopefully with the same guys next year. The boat is beautiful, but the captain and crew make all the difference. Thanks guys!

Great trip!! I highly recommmend Dean Cox and his mate Billy. We have been on many charters in Destin over the years, some good and some not so good. Dean is a hands on captain and goes out of his way to get a good catch. Billy was a great mate and one of the few that actually explains technique and stresses safety. He was with me every minute of that unforgettable 40 minute battle with a 8 ft shark!! I am a 66 year old female and I couldn’t have done it without him and Dean! We needed one more red snapper to get our limit and Dean took the time to make sure we caught one more to get our limit. Book The Seahorse and you won’t be disappointed!!!
