Captain Sig and his son the first mate did a great job. Caught a nice variety of fish and had a good time. Highly recommended!
What a bad experience! First the captain moved the boat from one pier to another and did not tell us when we texted the night before! . Told us to show up early and he was not there! Called him repeatedly when we got there. No answer. Messaged him . No response. After asking around all the piers and waiting at the pier he listed having his boat at. We were about to leave. It was about an hour past the time!ย Asked all around the piers and no one knew where he was. Finally one security guard said he moved his boat 9 piers away!!!!! Went to that pier yelling past the gate and he finally answered. Said he left his phone at home!!!ย And was quite rude! Even said they were not ready for us to board! Then acted nasty when he told us to board! Since it was our last day and we did not have time to book another charter. We made the mistake of getting on the boat even after his rude manner. And complete lack of customer service. He refused to do anything but troll although many people were catching fish anchored around structures. Even when we not catching hardly any and repeatedly asked about changing to bottom fishing. He did not .And he repeatedly belittled and was nasty to his deck hand the whole time! We felt so sorry for that guy! Well to add insult to injury. He had a sign up that said 15-20 percent tip for captain and crew was customary. We discussed it and decided that we would definitely give the deck hand a $50.00 tip. He tied although we only caught a few Bonitas. But that was not the deckhands fault.ย But the captain a tip?. Absolutely No way!ย When we docked . The captain came down and asked how we would like to settle up the 85 percent. And to call direct and bypass fish broker next time and he will โtreat us rightโ.ย I said credit card. He barked that he does not take American Express. I said clam down I only have a visa anyway! So He did not have a phone to run the card! So he writes the info down. And then says in a forceful and demanding voice . How about the $120..00 dollar tip!!!!!!! I said no I will give the deckhand $50.00 . He went off and argued and I explained to him what I have written here. He yells and I tell him I donโt have to leave any tip after the way you have treated us! At witch point he says keep all the tip and donโt call again. Stay away this guy is not someone you want around your family. And he is not a good fisherman any way. Save yourself the aggravation and a possible night in jail. Stay far away from this absolute poor excuse for a โcaptainโ.
