Had an amazing day with Capt. Charleton and crew on the Chubasco VI! Smooth and easy taxi ride from the cruise port after we got off the ship. After trolling for a little over two hours with no luck/ dodging a storm, Capt. Charleton suggested we switch things up and head to the reefs for some light trolling but before heading to the reefs there were a flock of birds circling nearby and we caught a few tunas before heading the reefs where the bite was on 🔥. Like they say even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.. Unfortunately we weren’t able to catch any bigger game fish or Mahi / tuna.. We pulled up one decent mutton snapper and the rest nothing worth writing about. Would have been nice to have have love bait and not bagged bally. Overall ok..Ive been kn better, ive been on worse.. We. Cant control this fish we caught but it was a decent time for the price.

We were very excited when headed out to fish. We didn’t care what we caught, we just wanted to catch fish and we did just that. Non stop barracuda and snapper! The mate was awesome and we made easy conversation with him and had an enjoyable time with him down on the deck. The captain on the other hand did not make us feel welcomed or comfortable. On the way in when I handed him my card he rudely remarked that he wanted us to pay in cash and card was not preferred. He also went out of his way... More

We’re very happy to hear your trip was enjoyable and the fishing was so productive thanks to the excellent teamwork of Charlton, your Captain and his first mate Kyris. The Captain spends most of his time up in the tower looking for productive fishing areas and is usually only able to interact with guests at the beginning and end of the trip. The mate is in the cockpit, managing the rods, assisting with the catch and interacting with anglers. ... More

Thank you for your review. We’re very happy to hear your trip was enjoyable and the fishing was so productive thanks to the excellent teamwork of Charlton, your Captain and his first mate Kyris. The Captain spends most of his time up in the tower looking for productive fishing areas and is usually only able to interact with guests at the beginning and end of the trip. The mate is in the cockpit, managing the rods, assisting with the catch and interacting with anglers. They both receive a salary and any gratuity is shared between them.

Great day out! It was just me and I caught 17 fish including a 20+ pound barracuda that kept breaching like a marlin and took me 15 minutes to land. I told the captain that they needed to change the name of the boat to “No Breaks” because every time I tried to get a drink of water or take a picture, there was another “fish on”!

Sorry to hear you were disappointed in your fishing charter. Capt. Charlton has over 30 years of fishing experience, 15 of them with our company. They did their best taking you offshore as well as inshore getting several fish and losing some in the fight.
