Booked this trip as a Christmas gift for my Little brother to get a chance to go out on a charter and possibly feel that TUG you get from a Sturgeon.. although he didn’t get a BIG one, Captain Matt made sure to put us on enough fish to land him a decent size non keeper lol as well as myself of course. The lil guy ended the day with a keeper stripper aswell!! For a slow day and tough bite Captain Matt over exceeded his expectations with hospitality, amazing service, guidance, knowledge and conversation. Definitely will be back and recommend to anyone looking for a good time on the water!!!

Matt took us out sturgeon fishing in the delta on Jan. 1st for my birthday and I had the best day fishing !!! I’ve been on quite a few charters and I’ve not met a more hospitable and humble captain, not ever. His boat is nice all his equipment is top notch and he knows what he’s doing. He is also fun to talk to. It never got awkward or boring, not for a second. I recommend him 100% and can’t wait to go again! Thanks Matt! 👍👍👍

To celebrate my birthday, I booked an all day fishing trip with Captain Matt and some of my closest friends. I had never been on a chartered fishing trip….. so I had no idea what to expect. The boat was a lot bigger than I was expecting and had plenty of room for us to keep dry during the first hour while it was raining. We caught halibut, stripers, and leopard sharks. Captain Matt was very good at informing us he would do as little or as much as we were comfortable with. He is very like able and our small talk made the day go by very quickly. I think everyone was a little hesitant to try things since we were all novice fishermen, but once we warmed up everyone got really into baiting and setting our own lines. The fish were biting and we caught some big ones. There were some short periods when the fish weren’t biting so Captain Matt called his friends to find out where the fish were at and put us right back on them. Captain Matt even filleted our fish for us on the dock so we could cook them as soon as we got home. My friends and I were all blown away by how much fun we had on this trip. It beat all of our expectations. I plan on booking Captain Matt again for another trip in the winter to catch sturgeon. Thank you for being a great Captain!

Couldn’t have asked for better weather. Got us on the fish early. We were able to get two fish in the boat with plenty of other bite opportunities. If you’re looking for sturgeon - Matt is your guy.
