This was one of the best charters I’ve done!  We took my dad (84 years old) me and my wife fishing the intercoastal waterway and the tidal creeks surrounding Sunset Island.  We all have some experience fishing but none of us consider ourselves regular fishermen.  Captain Shad was patient as we got used to fishing with his gear and never got upset when he had to wrangle casts out of the marsh grass.  He helped us understand the best times and places to fish different spots around the island and what bait/lure to use.  My wife caught 4-5 fish but the highlight of the trip was watching my dad reel in a big, fat red drum.  Captain Shad was an amazing guide and we will be booking another trip with him in the fall!

This was a treat for our 10 and 12 yr. Old grandsons.  Shad was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and extremely good and attentive to the boys.  Very nice boat with excellent equipment.  The boys were excited with anything they caught and Shad took us to various fishing spots.  We will definitely plan another trip with Shad.  My husband, the grandsons and I definitely recommend Captain Shad.  He was good with the children and adults and had many interesting stories and fishing tips.

Had the pleasure of being out with Capt. Shad today.  Two seven-year-olds and two dads, he was great with our sons and us.  He is a real professional - very knowledgeable about the NC/SC area and fishing. Really patience with our sons, helping them learn the fundamentals of fishing as well as boating.  There are lots of charters and boat captains, but Shad is a professional and it comes out after a couple of hours with him. Look forward to fishing with him in the future.

Had a great time with Captain Shad. Equipment was in good condition, boat was nice, and Shad was great as well. The fish weren’t biting due to very poor weather conditions and Shad offered to cut the trip short for a discount. Very impressed with his honesty as he could have sailed us around for hours knowing we wouldn’t catch anything. If you’re looking for a fishing trip Captain Shad is your man. We will be booking him again next time we are in town.

Captain Shad gave my husband and I a great experience during our inshore fishing trip.  Besides being extremely knowledgeable regarding navigating the waters and where to find the fish, he is also a great story teller. No matter the questions we asked, he had an answer ready with additional details making it fun to learn. He is laid back and fun to be with.
