Facing 15-20 winds out of the east, captain Allen tried to get us out on quality snapper spots but conditions just weren’t cooperating with 3-5 @ 4 seconds only 1/4 mile off the coast. But that didn’t end the trip. He swung us over to the bay side on the wind sheltered side of an island, anchored up, and we almost limited out on Grovers. We even had a special guest sea turtle come by to say hi. It was a beautiful day and the captain was an excellent host and guide. We then had our catch cooked to our liking just up the road at Kiki’s on the water. Will definitely be looking to fish with captain Allen again when conditions are improved and we can get into the deep. Thanks for finding somewhere to fish in these conditions skip!

AWESOME! Captain Allen put us onto fish right away. Once we starting trolling, we caught fish.  We saw several schools of Mahi-mahi. What a wonderful sight, with glimmers of fish darting all around the boat. Once we caught our fill out Mahi-mahi, we dropped deep for Tile fish and grouper. Again we were not disappointed, right away we caught a nice Tile fish.

Be prepared for a good day on the water. I recommend, Mahi-mahi fishing, then dropping a line for Grouper or Tile fish.

He said we will go out offshore and we did. Calm seas and went out 15 to 20 miles looking for tuna and Mahi Mahi.  Found right kinda weed and debris and were in 3 sets of schools of dolphin even though just under size. Then, came into the reef and caught plenty of fish and kept us busy reeling in lots of fish.  Caught more than we kept. Captain made my party relaxed and at ease of course, when we made fishing mistakes. If only it was red grouper season we would have filled the cooler. I would enjoy going out with Captain Allen again in the near future.
