My son in law and I had a great half day of fishing and enjoy the beautiful gulf weather today with Captain Jamie.  The fish weren’t exactly jumping in the boat today but that is where Jamie showed us his skills of locating fish.  My son in law caught a 27 lb jack fish on the way out this morning as a warm up The redfish weren’t running so Jamie then took us to an oil rig where we caught some Spanish mackerel and spade fish to keep for dinner (along with several other “trash” fish).  On the way back in to the marina , we searched again for the elusive red ;fish and, although we didn’t find them, we did see an amazing sight of thousands of cow nose rays in migration.  Rays could be seen in all directions for as far as we could see. 

Overall we had a great time today.  The weather was perfect.

We struggled to find the redfish, but Jamie was experienced enough to use different techniques and go to other locations to get us on fish. When other boats were giving up for the morning we spotted a group of Jacks surfacing and we were able to catch 4 fish in the 25 lbs range in our last 20 minutes. I would highly recommend Jamie and the Stressed Out 2 team, great communication with Office staff leading up to our trip. We had 5 people on our boat, 2 experienced and 3 novice, Jamie worked equally well with everyone and made sure every fisherman was comfortable and having a great time.
