I’ve been a recreational fisherman my whole life, but this Tarpon fishing trip w/ Cap’n Dave was beyond amazing.  We hooked 8 monsters and the rush to see who wins the fight, just from playing these fish is beyond description.

Cap’n Dave patiently taught me the ins-and-outs of how to play the Tarpon.  Without this info, I would never have landed one fish.  I am beyond impressed w/ Dave’s knowledge and will ALWAYS be on his boat when I return to Key West.  Good Luck to all, with your fishing adventures!!

Booked a 6 hour charter with Captain Hugh Morgan and he did not disappoint. We had an absolute blast! Put us on the fish the whole time. We hooked well over 100 fish. Four types of snapper; yellowtail, mutton, lane, and mangrove, along with three sharks, and a ton of grouper. Then filleted the fish at the dock and got it cooked at Hurricane Hole. If you’re looking to book a charter and have a great time in the Keys then you’re in the right spot.

This was a great charter especially given the windy weather this time of year. Captain David put us on fish and we took our limit of Mangrove Snapper. He was very knowledgeable and informative about the ecosystem and species in the area, as well as the fishing techniques.

We had big sharks on the line three times, but we unfortunately lost them. However we did land a smaller bonnethead shark. There’s a cool
dockside restaurant right at the marina with really good food. We had lunch there and then later cooked up some of our catch for dinner.

We’d love to come back for tarpon fishing later in the year.

I am a relatively experienced fisherman, and have fished in several places in the world. I was by myself and asked captain Zach what we should do. We had fun with one to five pound fish and let smallies go. Lots of action with a few respectable fish. It was wide open and we could have sat there and perhaps catch a few “hogs” if the stars aligned. We then chased grouper and released a couple undersized; we had one break off and was too slow and lost one in the reefs; good time and ate fresh fish I caught! Thanks, Zach!

Captain Dave worked tirelessly to get us hooked up as we wanted the big one. Connected with 4 big tarpon between us but sadly are yet to learn the art of bowing to the fish with all the excitement!. The power of these fish are beyond words and we loved it. Watching your fish airborne at 200yds is pretty cool!
