We have been coming to Minocqua for about 10 years, and we connected with Dave the first year based on a recommendation. We had never fished with a guide before and didn’t know quite what to expect.  But we caught so many great fish on that first morning we were hooked! We have enjoyed the benefits of Dave’s expertise every year since. He is very knowledgeable about the local area, current conditions, and where and how to catch fish today. We always bring fish home, some years better than others, and got a Musky one year too. Also, our overall fishing skills have improved and that’s helped us be more successful wherever we fish. I would recommend fishing with Dave to anyone who is serious about catching fish and polishing their skills.

I have been fishing pretty much two or three trips per season with Dave Lange for more years than I can recall.  I’ve fished all over-Alaska, Canada , Oregon/Washington/Colorado and the U.P. Of Michigan.  By far, of all those exotic trips, my favorite trips are still in the minocqua area and my guide of choice is Dave Lange.  He knows his stuff, is always aware of what you need before you do, and,is just plain pleasant to be around-never mind, “the best damn Northern cleaner I’ve ever met.”  I typically hire Dave Mid-May for three half-days, first week of June for three half-days, and third week of September for three half days
