I wish I could write a positive review about our trip but I can’t! We booked a “1/2 day shark fishing” trip that was supposed to take us to the ocean but we never made it out of the sound. The captain was unprepared for us to even go to the ocean! He only had 20lb. line that in NO WAY could hold a shark even if we did catch one! From the moment we arrived to the marina, he made sure to let us know we were only fishing for “drum” since he said the ocean had been cooler than the sound!... More

Jessica, I have ran 136 trips this year so far and not one problem with anyone, even on the bad days, i told you in advance the ocean was COLD and dead, standing on the dock, completely let yall know the entire scoop, told you that 99% of nearshore boats were in the sound drum fishing because of that and yall said ok, my mate and I still fished the inlet channels and shoals for drum and the chance of a shark is always there, 6500 penn slammers with 65lb braid will handle any drum, and the average sharks we catch around here from a nearshore perspective, also, I have no need to “scam” anyone out of 100.00, we fished east of the bridge in the warmest water possible for a chance at a fun time, you had a bad day of fishing, and I truly hate that, I really do, but you have to understand that it’s fishing, me and murph fished probably 15 different locations trying to give yall a good time with the conditions at hand, other boats you would have probably fished 3-4 spots. I would have been glad to work with yall on a future trip as I do with some people, and try to hope for a better day next time, the amount of effort yall received vs the amount of appreciation is known. The reviews don’t lie, I’m sorry yall had a bad day of fishing but it happens. Fishing booker themselves also had nothing to do with anything pertaining to the weather and conditions, nether did I, other than yall saying ok, we still want to go.

We had a great day out on the water with Lance. We booked the island hopping and fishing half day tour. We spent the first portion trolling for whatever we could off shore and our son caught a Spanish mackerel..that was it for a while so we switched gears with no luck. Captain Lance is easy-going, knowledgeable, and helpful. The day was cold and windy, and we didnt catch a lot, but he did everything he could to give us the opportunity. Hit lots of spots in the sound, made us feel comfortable and welcome, and gave us all the local insight. Helped us filet our fish and had it cooked right there at the marina for lunch. We had a great time and if we are in the area when the weather is better, we know who we will look up for some fishing!

My name is Gregg and my son in law had a great time and learned a lot from Capt Lance, it was only 2 hrs this time but we enjoyed the trip and the knowledge from Capt Lance was really a learning lesson for me and with that I’m going to say from the bottom of my heart that I enjoyed it even though I have both rotator cuffs torn and surgery 2 weeks ago prior to the trip.
