Travis had to cancel on us so he hooked us up with Josh Sutch guide service out of Winchester Bay. Due to a mishap on Josh‘s trailer, he lost a wheel bearing so that put us back an hour and a half from leaving the dock and it also cut our trip short due to. Booked a crabbing trip for my wife’s 60th birthday and had family fly out from Colorado and what a great experience we had with Captain Tom! Very knowledgeable, great personality and played great music while heading to our pots on a gorgeous Oregon day! We caught our limit in just four pots! I had my boys with me who are 6 and 4.  Tom made sure to put the extra effort to make this a memorable trip for all of us.  My boys had a blast and couldn’t wait to get home and eat their fish and crab.  I wasn’t sure how it was going to work with my young kids, but his equipment made it so they could catch fish with ease!  They loved the bumpy boat ride, we even saw some wales.  They’ll be talking about this experience for a long time!

If you are not a person who fishes often this trip to fish small mouth bass was enjoyable,  we caught quite a few fish.  We did keep a few to cook however make sure your captain is aware you plan on keeping some.  We told our captain we may want to keep some but he didn’t plan ahead & bring a better knife to filet the fish for us.  He even mentioned it several times that he should have brought better supplies to take care of the fish.  With that being said he could have done better at that...
