We could not be happier. Fishing was rough in the morning…..Captain and Crew went the extra mile and time to ensure we went home with a goodie bag. He used his experience to land us some keepers when the boats around us were wondering what we were doing. We took home some Halibut, Bass and a perch..50 pounds fillet. Still eating it…..Cant go wrong with the John and John Barbarian special.

I have fished with John on his Barbarian Sportfishing boats for almost 20 years.  It started with a group of friends, who we all had boats and wanted to expand our fishing capabilities.  John knows the San Francisco Bay waters extremely well and shared his knowledgeable experience to make us better fisherpeople.  I have jumped on many open load boats days and chartered the boat for my family.  John and his deckhand both work hard all day to make your day memorable and fun.  I can’t recommend... Began our early Dec trip fishing the incoming between Port Costa and Benicia.  Turned out to be leopard shark hour.  10+ leopards with a stripe, sand shark and undersized sturg for our early morning.  Moved to the Mothballs for a while for slow pickings with a striper and not much else.  3rd move was the charm!  John went upstream near Port Chicago for an oversized and 2 keepers with a nice striper to boot.  Thanks Capt John and Deckhand John for not giving up!
