We had a great time out on the water with Captain Holbrook even though it was a little chilly. We got on about 14 large spotted bass between 3 people and two catfish. Which was one of the best fishing day on Lanier for size and amount of spotted bass. The captain was fun and knew were to look for the fish. Was definitely worth pushing through the cold to get some quality sized spots! Will definitely go again in the future with captain holbrook!

Captain Mickey was welcoming and very pleasant company. He worked hard to get us on the fish. We saw them on the fish-finder! The weather was wonderful, a very crisp fall day, and he did advise us to dress warmly in layers before the trip. Although there were no bananas on the boat, the fish were finnicky (see what I did there?), but we did get many hits and wound up with a very nice 10+ lb striper, biggest fish she’s caught and first striper for my sister. We saw some local wildlife and even had a heron steal the bait fish from a striper trying to take it!

Despite the cold weather Capt Mickey was able to locate the fish and give my grandson the best trip ever. This was my fourth trip with Mad Gillz and I’m already planning the next.
