Well….you either catch fish or you don’t. The day we went, not a single bite. Not for lack of trying, just not in the cards….and that was ok. To be out on a boat, in the beautiful Pacific, off the coast of the Big Island was absolutely enough. It was 4 hours of family time, looking at the island from the water, watching the endless horizon of water, seeing birds, hoping to catch a fish but also being ok if it didn’t happen. The captain and his first mate told funny stories, showed us cool videos of things that happened on other days, talked about growing up on island, it was great. I think it was just about being out there. I can’t speak of how awesome it would have been to catch something, that would have just been frosting on an already great cake. So choose the attitude you bring with you when you go out for a charter. It’s not a guarantee of a big catch, but choose your attitude and you’re definitely guaranteed a good time.

Beautiful weather, nice boat, helpful crew, and lots and lots of tuna. So much tuna. Plus whales! A great trip.

How can we say anything but great things when you catch a fish like this!  The captain and first mate were great at helping us land this whopper!  Their fishing equipment is excellent.  I have plugged you on the Pride of America Facebook page so hope you will get some additional clients.
