We woke up to less than ideal weather, low 50°s and cool north winds 15-20mph. We knew these conditions usually slow the fishing down but Si was able to put us on the fish! We caught several species of fish and had a shot on some real nice fish on that ultimately won the fight. Had a delicious lunch with the fish we caught. Would recommend Nelson Guide Company to anyone looking for some inshore or nearshore fishing.

Awesome Captain.  Told us stories about the history of the area.  Show us details about lots of different fish and how some of them get their names. Very knowledgeable, personable and friendly Captain.  Best experience with any of the Destin area charters.  We will definitely use Captain Si again.  Oh, and we caught lots of different kinds of fish.  Great time.

We went out for Mingo snapper and the boys had their first bout of sea sickness. Captain Si was more than accommodating with them and I told him they need to suck it up! They got over it and we had an amazing time. We caught a 10-12 Mingo snappers off the bottom. We then tried to get on red snappers with his precision placement of the boat of known snapper spots. Had 4 or 5 come up without any luck. Took the boat in to catch mangrove snapper which the boys had an absolute blast. Capt Si’s knowledge and expertise is hands down some of the best I’ve been around with no bullshit like other captains I’ve been with. We talked turkey hunting for a while and the guy is very knowledgeable about that as well. I will be back to go out with him soon!
