Joe was a very knowledgeable and communicative captain. Expect ground rules to be set when you dock the boat. Nothing bad. Just saving you from hitting your head, or losing a fish, If you have no idea what you’re doing. Even if you do, they know more. Late summer trip, really warm water and Joe still got us on the fish. Joe and AJ make a great team! We had so much fun hanging out with these two guys who have a great balance of professionalism and humor, and really made the trip fun while also reeling in the fish! In addition to filleting the 7 fish we took home, AJ even made us on-the-spot sushi to sample which was DELICIOUS. Absolutely recommend the Jolly Roger with Joe and AJ!

First Class from the start! Whether we caught fish or not, these guys catered to us and made my family feel welcome. Captain Joe was super helpful and mindful of our experience, the first mate was very informative and a pleasure to be around! My wife, myself and our 2 Sons, 13 and 16 had a blast and we caught some amazing fish!! Highly recommend!

Can’t say enough good things about the captain and first mate on the Jolly Roger II. The weather, on the other hand, wasn’t quite as supportive! We were very lucky to be able to reschedule our trip to the following day after all the charter boats in Key West cancelled due to rough waters.
