Took my 15 year old daughter for her first ocean fishing trip. I have been on 10 to 12 of these myself and Captain Turk was a pro it was probably the best trip I have ever taken. In 4 hrs we has 9 hits landed 5 including a 78 cm Salmon which was delicious. The other 4 two were just short if being keepers and one was a protected fish a yellow eye (looked like the fish from the Simpsons without the third eye)which Captain Turk very carefully brought back to life. The final fish is the 30+lb monster in the picture which we put back i enjoyed that one. Would highly recommend Captain Turk and look forward to fishing with him again.
PS my daughter did catch one of the small ones and had great fun battling 2 others again Captain Turk was great gauging which fish she could handle

Had to get to Nanaimo at 12:50 the night before because the last ferry from vancouver was rescheduled, and the earliest one was completely booked. In a group of 5 friends we caught a total of 10 fish with 2 keeper chinook which we barbequed / ate as sashimi afterwards. Captain Turk was great, teaching us the way to read the fish detector, and constantly moving us into areas with high bait fish density.

Something that you will want to watch out for is seasickness. Being a boat on the smaller end, make sure you take your seasickness medication beforehand or you will be at mercy of the weather.

Overall 10/10 trip and looking forwards to going again in the future.

Captain Turk was awesome, despite fishing closures, Turk got us out to the best location and worked hard at getting us our legal take home dinner fish.  We landed and released many Giant Chinook Salmon so everybody in our party of 6 got to have the Best fishing experience ever!!!  The icing on the cake was the crab pot retrieval at the end of the trip.  Turk was a fantastic guide and made this trip an exciting experience for all of us, I would definitely book him on future excursions.

It was our first time salmon fishing and we had a wonderful experience!  The captain did everything to make our experience memorable.  He even put up a crab trap to amuse the children and made them feed seals, which they greatly appreciated! We recommend it without hesitation!
