Overall this trip was a lot of fun and a learning experience. Lesson one: don’t fish in the afternoon “all the fish eat in the morning” quote from captain vincente. None the less we made the most of it. Half the time trolling to no avail. The other half dropping bait to the sea floor and trying our luck. We had a great day fishing. Crew know what they are doing. Fishing euipment needs some TLC, almost lost the 300lbs + blue marlin when handle of reel came off, but captain held the line tight with the boat while we swapped out the reel handle. We had an awesome day and will be back next year.

Overall good trip, very nice captain & mate! They picked us up dropped off as planned, had beer, water, sandwiches & fruit ready to go, licenses already purchased, & great communication. However we lost a gigantic grouper due to insufficient length of line & knot at the end, they only had 2 lines out, couldn’t get 2 marlins to bite that were 5p feet from the boat. Boat was good size, requested and paid in advance for live bait-did not get it and had to be refunded after the trip. Deckhand was not well informed and not very conversive. Did catch one fish and they did help get my mother in law on/off the boat as she is in a wheelchair. Overall average experience.
