Our tour was to be 8-12, but at the suggestion of Captain Garrett we came two hours early and it paid off. It wasn’t nearly as hot and as he suggested they were biting earlier not later in the heat. We were looking for take home fish not fun fishing to release so we got snappers and trout. Throw back fish we had fun catching were the gag grouper who was out of season (we’ll be back for him later),  some ladyfish, and pinfish. Main thing: Captain Garrett was putting us on fish and we were reeling in and having a blast. When my wife hooked the gag grouper it went for the rocks and most people would have thought they had snagged something but Captain Garrett knew with patience we would have a chance of reeling in a nice fish. 10 minutes later she was taking a photo with Captain Garrett and proud as punch. We saw some dolphins and a manatee which was back and forth under our boat checking out the humans.

Captain Garrett worked really hard to get us on fish, we caught a lot of different fish that we had never caught before. He educates and explains what we are fishing for and how to catch them. My wife and I enjoyed this trip very much and will do it again.

My wife and I went out with captain Tyler it was cold and wet! He managed to put us on fish throughout the day despite the weather we had a great time with him, he kept our spirits high with jokes and laughs! We caught 3 different species of fish, the only downside is we wish we caught more keeper fish to take home which you can’t control that! All in all great time and we would be more than happy to book with this crew again!

Captain Garrett got us on the fish today.  Tough, post weather conditions, but he made sure we had a great time.  My kids will be talking about the Snook we caught for weeks.  We’ll certainly get in touch with him again when we’re back in Clearwater.
